the four.

for a sister and a brother.
those souls we feel are still here.
and trees and brooks past your home.
with ice on the water and rain.

this night brings sadness.
but only for a time.
so we'll remember well.
both your faces so beautiful.

and we hope we honor you.
and those who stand with you.
but never forget your brothers and sisters.
all who left you with each other.

st. stephen

how the stars were that night.
the wind in the trees and leaves blowing.
does the sky remember how it looked?
does it remember you?

you stand watch silently.
and climbing more stairs than we should.
on that golden afternoon of yesterday.
do I look different to you?

another sad good bye.
do the fields still look the same?
how it smells like water here.
we should go now.
sven.

rainbows.

the day was long but evening came suddenly.
look out all your tower windows
over those hills and beyond,
to rivers that flow to the sea.

few who were chosen remembered
how the stars turned their lonely backs on us.
or in all those autumn years you never told
what you learned from my stories.

a farther distance than we ever traveled,
and shores to us so strange...
do winds around this place
sing the name of wintermoor?

wheel-o.

street ninja in action: I'm in the far left lane of three, doing sixty-five. in my rearview mirror I spot a phalanx of ten street ninjas gaining fast, looking for an opening to break free. they pile into the far right lane, and I ready my trusty iphone, waiting for them to speed by. I begin to snap pictures as they roar past, leaving us normal folk in the dust. wheelie at eighty. sure me and rosie can do this, we just choose not to...

good.
homes on the great highway san francisco california may 2013.

what a neat address. oh, by the way,
the view out of these windows is the pacific ocean. not sure why so many of these homes have their windows shuttered? I guess even greatness gets boring? anyway, upon first hearing of the name, I can remember being impressed by the name, and wondering what exactly is: the great highway? it's good, as I imagined.
